Design - Multiple choice question
If you want the survey participant to be able to supply several alternative answers to a question, you should create a multiple choice question.
In the Design survey window you specify the same data as for a single choice question. See Design - Single choice question.
The difference in function is the following:
- In web surveys you see the alternative answers for multiple choice questions as check boxes where the survey participant is allowed to tick as many options as he likes.
- With multiple choice questions you cannot have alternative answers leading to jumps.
- Multiple choice questions are unsuited for telephony surveys. In a survey that will be used for both web and telephony you can include multiple choice questions, but in the telephony survey just one answer, the first key press, will be registered.
